"Today, I Can Show You": After Years of Building, Kami Alaniz Brings the Full Just Brooke Vision to Life

Oct 21, 2026

With more than 33 years in nursing behind her, Alaniz expands Just Brooke through publishing, healthcare media, coaching and ministry as Helping People Like Me Ministry enters its next stage of growth.

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX, October 21, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- When Kami Alaniz first introduced Helping People Like Me Ministry to the public in 2025, she was still building much of what she had spent years envisioning.

She had already spent more than three decades as a Registered Nurse, and the difficult seasons in her own life had helped shape a growing desire to use those experiences to help others. But much of the larger vision for Just Brooke was still taking shape.

A little more than a year later, Alaniz is in a very different place.

"Back then, I was telling you what I hoped Just Brooke could become," Alaniz says. "Today, I can show you."

Just Brooke, LLC has grown into the company Alaniz envisioned. Helping People Like Me Ministry — A Just Brooke Kingdom Initiative — is the faith-centered mission behind it, while Just Brooke Productions serves as its publishing and production brand.

Her books are being published and sold on Amazon, with additional titles in development. Her expanded website, www.JustBrooke.net, now brings together her books, coaching, courses, classes, ministry and media.

One of the ideas connecting much of that work is Alaniz's R3B Empowerment Method™: Remove Blocks, Reset, Rediscover Yourself, and Build Your Dream Life.

For Alaniz, it comes from experience.

"I understand what it is like to work, take care of everyone else, keep going when you are exhausted, experience hurt and disappointment, and still know somewhere inside that God has more for your life," she says.

Alaniz continued working as a traveling nurse while building Just Brooke, balancing new assignments and moves with the demands of caring for patients. That work has also kept her close to many of the people she hopes to reach.

She regularly encounters patients, families and healthcare professionals facing issues that extend far beyond what appears on a medical chart. Healthcare decisions can come with financial concerns, caregiver exhaustion and uncertainty about what happens next.

It is one reason Alaniz believes the different sides of her work belong together.

Taking the Conversation Beyond Healthcare

That idea is at the center of Alaniz's newest media venture, APPROVED or DENIED: Decoding Medicare, Medicaid, & Beyond — For Professionals, Patients & Providers.

The weekly podcast airs Thursdays at 7:00 a.m. Central and draws on Alaniz's more than 33 years in nursing while giving her room to explore the issues surrounding healthcare decisions.

"Healthcare is not one-dimensional, and neither are people," Alaniz says.

The "& Beyond" in the program's title is intentional. A conversation may start with Medicare, Medicaid or another healthcare concern, but Alaniz knows the person dealing with it may also be exhausted, worried about family, struggling with faith or facing changes elsewhere in life.

Alaniz is beginning to bring guests from different professional backgrounds onto the program to add other perspectives to those conversations. Each episode also includes a Book of the Week, connecting her published work with topics being discussed on the show.

Just Brooke Productions has also launched Across the Table with Kami, a short-form video series where Alaniz talks about healthcare, her books, faith and other issues she encounters through her work. Viewers can watch the series and follow her latest conversations on Facebook.

The growing media presence is also opening another direction Alaniz wants to pursue more actively: speaking.

Her background allows her to address healthcare professionals, patients and families on subjects such as Medicare and navigating difficult healthcare decisions, while also speaking with churches, conferences and community organizations about burnout, forgiveness, faith, purpose and moving forward after difficult seasons.

"I especially want to reach the person who is exhausted, overwhelmed, hurting, or wondering whether it is too late to change their life," Alaniz says. "I want people to know they are loved and forgiven and encourage them in their walk with God."

For Alaniz, speaking is not simply about delivering an inspirational message.

"I don't want people to simply hear an inspirational message and go home," she says. "I want to give them something they can actually use in their lives."

Her books, classes, coaching, podcast and other resources give people ways to continue that work after the initial conversation.

Still Helping People Like Me

Alaniz expects the next several years to bring continued growth across Just Brooke Productions, her publishing work, podcast and speaking, but she remains closely tied to the reason Helping People Like Me Ministry was created in the first place.

She wants to reach people who recognize something of themselves in her story, particularly those who have spent years caring for others and may now find themselves exhausted, hurting or unsure about their own next chapter.

That mission has not changed as Just Brooke has grown.

What has changed is Alaniz's ability to put something tangible behind it.

"When I look back at where I was when I started and compare it with where we are today, it is pretty incredible," Alaniz says.

Several years ago, she was trying to explain what she hoped Just Brooke could eventually become.

Today, she can show people.
